After several weeks, looking for extend and enhance the KToon architecture, it's a pleasure to announce the creation of a new subproject: KOM. It will be the base and the framework, not only for KToon, but for another projects related with multimedia and interactivity, as Komet (a future project focused on multimedia development).
This diagram shows the basics of the new arquitecture:

KOM is just an alpha version (0.1) of what we are expecting, but you can get the source code from our svn repository:

Programmers are welcome to help extending, enhancing and commenting any part of the code.

The last week, our KToon development leader (Gustavo Gonzalez) was invited to Latinoware, one of the most important events about Free Software in Latinoamerica. During two days, our project partipated with one workshop and one conference for the young south american community. Thanks to this invitation, we discovered a potential and very important group of brasilian users for KToon. Here, a little picture from the event.
